Sports Video Created A Special Moment

It was twelve years ago but I could still vividly picture out at my mind how sweet was that moment and how special that was to me. It was twelve years ago and we didn’t have television yet at our home, yet, that circumstance had made a great impact in my life.

My dad is a fanatic of basketball game. He loves to watch sports videos. At the time it was the peak of the championship game between Alaska and San Miguel, two competing team from the Philippine Basketball Association. Since we didn’t have cable television at our home my father used to watch the video game at his friend’s house a few kilometers away from home. One evening, he invited me to accompany him in his friend’s house to watch the sports videos of the PBA championship game between Alaska and San Miguel and to convince me he said he will treat me some food. I was 9 years old then and I went with my dad to watch the sports videos. He carried me in his shoulders while on our way to his friend’s house, that moment was magical and precious. It made me feel very special and the proudest son in the world. It was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. If not because of that sports videos my dad wanted to watch, that memory was not created in the inner recesses of my mind. Starting that day, like my dad, I had become a fanatic of basketball. I had loved to watch basketball games so much. Despite having different favorite team, since his team is San Miguel and mine was Alaska, we enjoyed watching the championship games. At that year, Alaska became the champion of the PBA; it made me happy since my team won (lol). Even if my team lost, nevertheless, that championship game made the biggest impact in my life. I had become closer to my dad.

Now, I am grown-up up but that moment will always be cherished in my heart. I am still watching sports videos, not anymore in my dad friend’s house but in our personal computer connected to the internet, online sports videos. Today, I am not only watching PBA games but NBA games as well. I could watch them online at SportsVids.
